EHS Engineer (BSP V Substations)

About the Role

Nesma Infrastructure & Technology is seeking an EHS Engineer (BSP V Substations) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies to ensure a secure working environment for employees, subcontractors, customers, and the general public across various projects.

Role Overview

The EHS Engineer is responsible for identifying workplace hazards, investigating incidents, and continuously improving safety programs. The position requires a proactive approach to EHS management, ensuring compliance with established standards and fostering a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and measure potential safety hazards in the workplace.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement project-specific EHS programs.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards for employees, subcontractors, and public safety.
• Conduct monthly EHS meetings and site inspections.
• Prepare and manage 5-Star and other required EHS documentation.
• Report project safety performance, KPIs, and future safety plans.
• Conduct safety training and awareness programs.
• Participate in pre-construction, progress, and coordination meetings.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the EHS Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in an EHS role.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and programs.
• Experience in identifying hazards, conducting inspections, and investigating incidents.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on BSP V Substations projects. The role requires active participation in site activities and meetings to ensure comprehensive EHS coverage.
