About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires an ARAMCO-approved professional with a strong background in Oil and Gas experience. The EHS Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols across assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare all EHS-related documents, including EHS plans, emergency response plans, and risk assessments.
  • Attend EHS meetings with clients and project teams, reporting all EHS-related issues to the Head Office.
  • Provide EHS induction training to new workers and conduct daily EHS inspections for assigned zones.
  • Ensure appropriate safe work permits are obtained by Engineers/Supervisors from Clients/Main Contractors.
  • Conduct site-wide risk assessments, informing Site Engineers and/or Clients/Main Contractors of high-risk areas.
  • Ensure Engineers deliver weekly toolbox talks to workers to promote EHS awareness.
  • Verify that all personnel wear required personal protective equipment, including helmets, EHS shoes, and coveralls.
  • Ensure equipment such as ladders and scaffolding are in good working condition before use.
  • Maintain satisfactory health and hygiene conditions for workers, including access to water, rest areas, and adequate lighting and ventilation.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping on project sites to prevent incidents and accidents.
  • Conduct Job EHS Analysis on high-risk activities to minimize hazardous conditions.
  • Encourage workers and engineers to implement EHS practices.
  • Conduct investigations with engineers for minor or major incidents/accidents and communicate results for future precautions.
  • Administer first-aid or seek medical assistance in case of worker injury.
  • Maintain all documentation related to EHS activities.
  • Establish, monitor, appraise, and coordinate an upgraded integrated health, safety, and environment management system (conforming to ISO-45001:2018, ISO14001:2015, and ISO 9001 standards) for construction projects, improvising procedure manuals and internal audits based on these standards.
  • Conduct EHS training programs for engineers and workers on-site and participate in HR-organized EHS training programs.
  • Perform hazard identification and risk assessment for critical activities, ensuring method statements incorporate findings.
  • Prepare EHS Plans and Environment Management Plans.
  • Coordinate external EHS audits and third-party inspections of equipment.
  • Prepare Emergency Preparedness Plans and conduct emergency drills.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the Work Permit System.
  • Coordinate occupational health and welfare measures.
  • Prepare EHS conditions of contract for sub-contractors.
  • Stop work if unsafe practices are witnessed and promote a "don’t walk by" and "commitment to action" attitude.
  • Carry out monthly project Risk Management Audits and quarterly system audits.
  • Provide EHS reports to the project head and IC Head on the current status of EHS performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • ARAMCO approval as an EHS Supervisor is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in EHS supervision.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive EHS documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and coordination.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic project environment. The role requires active engagement on-site and close collaboration with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure adherence to stringent EHS standards.
