About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Design) to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves reviewing and validating electrical designs across various project stages for significant infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical design packages for stations, tunnels, viaducts, depots, and ancillary buildings throughout all project phases, from concept to as-built documentation.
• Examine low-voltage power distribution systems, including single-line diagrams, switchboards, motor control centers, automatic transfer switches, distribution boards, load schedules, and protection coordination.
• Validate electrical calculations and studies such as load flow, cable sizing, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop, and protective device coordination using approved software.
• Assess earthing, bonding, and lightning protection systems for compliance with international standards and project requirements.
• Review lighting and emergency lighting designs, including illumination calculations and performance reports, to ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Verify life-safety and MEP electrical interfaces, covering smoke control, tunnel ventilation, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, and essential power transfer arrangements.
• Review design deliverables such as drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, datasheets, method statements, and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring document control and compliance.
• Support testing and commissioning activities by reviewing Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and Integrated System Acceptance Test (ISAT) documentation, and participating in critical system testing.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, structural, mechanical, fire engineering, and rail systems, to resolve design interfaces and clashes.
• Prepare technical review reports, comment registers, presentations, and recommendations to support project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the design, design review, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of international electrical standards, including NEC, IEC, IEEE, and NFPA, along with local authority requirements.
• Experience working on large civil, infrastructure, industrial, or transportation projects.
• Detailed understanding of electrical materials, equipment selection, and engineering design principles.
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and technical review skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in railway or metro projects is considered an advantage.
• Previous experience on projects within the GCC region.
• Proficiency in electrical engineering software such as ETAP, DIALux, AGI32, or equivalent tools.
• Experience in BIM-based design coordination and multidisciplinary project environments.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
