Electrical Site Engineer

About the Role

Alqotr is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves direct supervision of electrical works on-site, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, and the Saudi Building Code (SBC). The engineer will be responsible for monitoring work quality, productivity, and project schedules.

Job Objective

The primary objective of this position is to oversee the execution of all electrical works on-site, including power systems, lighting, and low-current systems. The Electrical Site Engineer will ensure that all work is performed in strict compliance with project documentation and quality standards, while effectively managing resources and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily execution of all electrical works on-site, encompassing power systems, lighting, and low-current systems.
• Monitor work execution to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Assign daily tasks to technicians, workers, and subcontractors, and track work progress and productivity rates.
• Prepare daily and weekly work plans, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and architectural engineers to prevent clashes and conflicts during execution.
• Measure and record completed quantities on-site, and monitor material and equipment requirements for the project.
• Ensure the quality of completed works and verify compliance with specifications before submitting Work Inspection Requests (WIRs).
• Follow up on observations and comments from consultants, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
• Oversee the installation of electrical panels, cables, cable routes, and grounding systems.
• Monitor the installation of low-current systems, including fire alarm systems, CCTV, data networks, and intercom systems.
• Supervise electrical testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems are ready for operation.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, and communicate project constraints, challenges, and proposed solutions to the Project Manager.
• Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety requirements during all electrical work execution.
• Monitor subcontractor activities, ensuring work quality and compliance with required productivity targets.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering within a site supervision capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise complex electrical installations and systems.
• Strong understanding of approved drawings, technical specifications, and building codes, particularly the Saudi Building Code (SBC).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence and direct supervision of electrical works. The role involves coordination with various engineering disciplines and subcontractors.
