About Scale AI and the Global Public Sector Team

Scale AI is expanding its operations, with the Global Public Sector team serving as a key growth area within the company. This team is responsible for developing, executing, and fostering Scale's work outside of the United States. Its focus areas include building custom AI applications for government entities, providing high-quality training data for research institutions developing Large Language Models (LLMs), and engaging in partnerships, upskilling initiatives, and advisory services.

The Engagement Manager Role

As an Engagement Manager based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing customer and prospect relationships. This full-time role involves proactively identifying opportunities where Scale can develop custom AI applications to benefit citizens and residents. You will oversee execution to ensure project timelines are met and communicated effectively, interface with premier research institutions to determine optimal support strategies, and partner with organizations focused on AI training and safety education. The role combines customer engagement, operational oversight, and business development, requiring close collaboration with business development, go-to-market, product, and engineering execution teams, as well as various customers and prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the process of identifying high-value use cases for custom LLMs that Scale can build within government entities.
• Partner with clients to understand their most pressing problems and strategize how Scale can provide support.
• Manage the long-term health of client relationships by identifying and preempting areas of risk or concern.
• Serve as the main point-of-contact for clients regarding questions, issues, or concerns, triaging accordingly.
• Collaborate with operational and engineering execution teams to track delivery and timelines.
• Review, track, and improve operational performances, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Brainstorm with premier research institutions developing Arabic LLMs on how Scale can best support them and/or ideas for testing.

You should be an excellent communicator, highly organized, and have a demonstrated track record of high achievement. An empathetic approach is valued, excelling at building long-term relationships through diligent problem-solving and thoughtful, strategic discussions.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 5-10 years of professional experience.
• Experience at a consulting firm or a leading technology company.
• A proven track record in B2B/B2G client-facing roles, with demonstrated success in expanding client relationships.
