About the Role

Misk Foundation is seeking an experienced Event Planning & Performance Head to oversee all event planning and execution. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, within the Riyadh Region. The role requires 5-10 years of experience and is responsible for leading a team to ensure the successful delivery of events, from small gatherings to large-scale conferences.

Strategic Event Management

The Head of Planning & Performance will co-develop the event management strategy, translating organizational needs into actionable plans with clear objectives and measurable outcomes. This includes defining project scopes in collaboration with Event Managers, ensuring alignment with business priorities, and establishing strong relationships with vendors and partners to secure resources and favorable contracts. Market research and competitive analysis will be conducted to identify trends and opportunities for enhancing event delivery.

Budget and Resource Oversight

This role involves preparing and recommending the event portfolio budget in alignment with annual business plans. Financial performance will be monitored, with variances identified and corrective actions implemented to optimize cost efficiency. The Head of Planning & Performance will also lead manpower and resource planning across the department, ensuring optimal utilization of talent and assets.

Event Execution and Delivery

Responsibilities include overseeing the entire event cycle, from planning to closure, managing project schedules, task structures, timelines, budgets, and risk management plans. The role entails leading the development of roadmaps and work plans for each event, ensuring clarity of activities, dependencies, and stakeholder responsibilities. Collaboration with internal departments to define event goals, KPIs, and success metrics is essential. The Head will act as an escalation point for resolving challenges and ensuring seamless event delivery, providing support during peak times as needed.

Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be established and tracked to monitor event performance and impact against strategic objectives. The role includes supervising the preparation of timely and accurate reports covering event progress, financial performance, attendance, and impact assessments. Oversight of post-event surveys, evaluations, and reports will provide insights for continuous improvement. Event management systems and tools will be implemented and maintained to streamline planning and enhance productivity.

Leadership and Team Development

The Head of Planning & Performance will lead, mentor, and develop a team of event planners, coordinators, and support staff, fostering a motivated and high-performing workforce. Team priorities and objectives will be set, performance monitored, and continuous feedback and coaching provided. A culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the department will be promoted. Recommendations and implementation of improvements to event management policies, procedures, and controls will ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess 8-12 years of experience in Project Management, with at least 5 years in positions of increasing managerial responsibility. Additionally, 3-5 years of experience in Event Management is required. Proficiency in event management software and tools is essential.
