About the Financial Arabic Translator Role

Fisher Investments is seeking a Financial Arabic Translator to join its in-house translation team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves providing essential translation services to various internal departments, including Sales, Service, Research, Content, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance. The role reports directly to the Translation Team Leader.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal clients, managing and facilitating translation requests to meet the needs of target markets.
• Ensure adherence to established tone and language style guides.
• Collaborate with external translation vendors, providing feedback to coordinate production effectively.
• Localize diverse content types, including financial, marketing, legal, and educational materials, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Translate the firm’s content from English to Arabic, meeting deadlines while maintaining the company's established tone of voice.
• Translate capital markets-related content such as educational brochures, articles, marketing advertisements, presentations, newsletters, and client-facing materials.
• Adapt translated materials to ensure investment content is localized for targeted markets.
• Manage ad-hoc translation projects independently from initiation to completion as directed by management.

Essential Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Translation, Linguistics, Arabic Language, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• A high level of proficiency in Arabic, with the ability to produce written content in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), is essential.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial translation is necessary.
• A strong understanding of Arabic culture is important for effective localization.
• Solid knowledge of the finance and investment industry is required.
• Fluency in English is essential.

Advantageous Skills and Experience

• Fluency in an additional European or Asian language (Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Norwegian, Spanish, or Swedish) is advantageous.
• Experience utilizing Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools is beneficial.
• The ability to interact effectively with employees at all seniority levels is important.

Role Context

This role is integral to ensuring Fisher Investments' communications are accurately and effectively conveyed to Arabic-speaking audiences. The translator will be responsible for the quality management and proofreading of translated content, ensuring it meets professional standards and accurately reflects the firm's expertise in financial markets.
