FOREMAN TRANSMISSION LINE

About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Foreman, Transmission Line to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves supervising line crews engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission systems. The position requires 6-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise line crews involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission systems.
• Evaluate crew member performance, initiating training or corrective actions as needed to meet standards.
• Analyze operational methods and develop improved procedures.
• Establish and maintain electric line clearances with other utilities.
• Install high-voltage connectors, transformers, switches, and various service lines, power poles, meters, and metering devices.
• Report project status regularly to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials.
• Ensure full responsibility for operations and deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
• Anticipate problems and take proactive steps to prevent them, making timely decisions.
• Deliver required results in a timely manner, meeting quality and cost standards.
• Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.

Safety and Quality Assurance

• Train, instruct, and mentor Line-workers to ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment in accordance with standard regulations.
• Uphold quality as a prime competitive advantage, acting accordingly in all operations.

Business Planning and Development

• Transform corporate goals into actionable business plans.
• Plan, follow up on, and execute annual and development plans.
• Monitor plan performance, initiating actions to strengthen results and taking corrective measures.
• Provide periodic work progress reports.
• Develop the organizational structure based on current and future requirements.
• Ensure job descriptions are available for all roles and deployed effectively.
• Develop and coordinate written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Utilize and promote IT solutions relevant to the job and business.

Leadership and Adaptability

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to build a robust second line of management.
• Recognize low performers and guide them towards improvement or release.
• Treat subordinates equally without discrimination, basing assessments on performance and results.
• Ensure the availability of a delegation of authority matrix in line with company policy.
