Fuel Defuel FARP OJT Specialist

About the Role

GDC Middle East is seeking a Fuel, Defuel, FARP, OJT Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves comprehensive training, direction, and execution of refueling and defueling operations for rotary-wing aircraft, including UH-60, AH-64, MD-530, and AH6i models. The specialist will also be responsible for training Ministry of National Guard Soldiers on essential maintenance procedures for fuel trucks and fueling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Train, direct, and execute cold refuel, hot refuel, defuel, Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) operations, and all related fuel activities.
• Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to fuel specialists, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Perform operation, maintenance, and repair services in accordance with applicable technical orders, publications, checklists, and forms.
• Establish and maintain an effective tool control program.
• Ensure work areas are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
• Maintain all required technical orders, publications, checklists, and forms.
• Complete all maintenance, training, and other required forms/documents as part of the Fuel System Operation Maintenance and Repair Program.
• Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure system test frequencies meet or exceed International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Joint Inspection Group (JIG) 4 fuel standards.
• Execute assigned contractual matters and maintain coordination with the Operation Maintenance and Repair, Task Order Manager, and customer.
• Meet contractor work requirements, including scheduling, work performance, worker supervision, and quality control.
• Liaise with the contracting officer, contract administrator, government’s quality assurance person, and other government personnel as required.
• Ensure proper utilization and safeguarding of all government property provided for contractor use.
• Supervise subcontractors providing direct support in meeting contract requirements.
• Administer company policies, including accurate timekeeping, safety, property, and quality control.

Qualifications and Experience

• 4 years of experience in fuel, defuel, FARP, or OJT specialist roles.
• Demonstrated ability to train personnel on fuel management activities and equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining fuel trucks and related equipment.
• Familiarity with technical orders, publications, checklists, and forms relevant to aircraft fueling operations.
• Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and fuel standards (IATA, JIG 4).

Work Environment

The role requires performing work in austere locations, which may involve exposure to extreme hot and cold weather conditions. The specialist will be part of a team dedicated to supporting critical rotary-wing aircraft operations.
