Head of Network (DC Network)

About the Role

Riyad Bank is seeking a Head of Network (DC Network) to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves guiding and controlling the secure and effective operation of the Bank’s Data Center ACI, Firewall, IPS, LTM, WAF, GTM, Wireless, Proxy, and NAC. The primary objective is to ensure maximum performance and availability for system users, thereby supporting effective business operations through continuous monitoring, problem-solving, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, providing instructions to subordinates and monitoring adherence.
• Oversee day-to-day operations for the Product Development function, ensuring compliance with established standards.
• Guide the analysis of banking business growth, current BT infrastructure, and development plans to identify network infrastructure requirements.
• Direct the analysis of current BT infrastructure to identify necessary improvements, investments, developments, and configurations.
• Guide the design of network infrastructure characteristics and requirements, developing analytical plans and technical specifications.
• Direct Network Engineers and Technicians in the accurate implementation of network projects and development plans.
• Implement best monitoring processes and systems for proactive network monitoring.
• Guide network monitoring results, assessing the efficiency of Data Center ACI, Firewall, IPS, LTM, WAF, GTM, Wireless, Proxy, and NAC to ensure continuous and preventive maintenance and 24/7 connectivity.
• Analyze reported network malfunctions and guide timely problem-solving.
• Review and approve network change requests, guiding NMS integration to ensure high quality of services.
• Stay informed of market trends and technological improvements to propose value-adding solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for systems, processes, and practices.
• Prepare timely and accurate departmental reports for Riyad Bank.
• Manage the Data Center technology budget, including procurement, licensing, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for contract negotiation and technical issue resolution.

People Management

• Ensure staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback, annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with emphasis on Saudi national staff development.
• Facilitate the employment, training, and development of Saudi nationals within the organization.
• Lead change initiatives related to collaboration technology adoption, ensuring smooth transitions for employees.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Project management skills, including planning, execution, and oversight of collaborative projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to align collaboration initiatives with organizational goals.
