Housekeeper Public Area

About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a Housekeeper Public Area to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing an excellent guest experience and contributing to a dedicated team. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of public and employee areas within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean public and employee showers and bathrooms.
• Clean glass surfaces in public and employee areas.
• Clean floor surfaces in public and employee spaces using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Dust surfaces in assigned areas.
• Empty trash receptacles, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into appropriate containers.
• Inspect furniture for breaks, tears, or stains and report any damage.
• Clean and maintain lights.
• Place caution signs to manage traffic flow when necessary.
• Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.
• Promptly attend to requests from guests and other departments.
• Identify and report preventive or maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.

Operational Duties and Physical Requirements

• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional.
• Maintain the privacy of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, running, walking, jogging).
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, crawling, and stooping.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Climb up and down ladders, stairs, and/or service ramps.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing 55 pounds ( kg) or less without assistance and more than 55 pounds ( kg) with assistance.
• Push and pull a loaded maintenance cart and other work-related machines on sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for prolonged periods or very frequently during the entire work shift.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

• Education: No high school diploma or equivalent General Education Development certificate is required.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required, making this an entry-level opportunity.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None specified.
