Hydrology & Storm Lead Engineer

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Hydrology & Drainage Lead Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the design and supporting the planning, design, and analysis of advanced stormwater and flood mitigation systems for high-profile infrastructure and master planning projects across the Middle East, with a primary focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic studies for flood risk assessment, stormwater management, and infrastructure design.
• Design stormwater drainage structures, including culverts, bridges, channels, swales, ponds, and stormwater networks.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), erosion protection, and flood control solutions.
• Perform rainfall and runoff analysis using meteorological and morphological data.
• Utilize industry-standard hydrology and modeling tools to develop efficient design solutions.
• Review and ensure the quality and timely delivery of design packages from pre-concept through to IFC.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate drainage systems into wider infrastructure designs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in hydrology and drainage engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in designing stormwater and flood mitigation systems.
• Proficiency in industry-standard hydrology and modeling tools.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time role within Parsons Corporation. The successful candidate will work on significant infrastructure and master planning projects across the region.
