About the Opportunity

LanceSoft Middle East is seeking an IFRS Senior Accounts professional for a contract engagement in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a highly capable individual with significant hands-on experience in IFRS accounting and finance operations, ready to manage critical accounting functions across various locations within the Kingdom.

Role Overview

This is an operational and hands-on position, suitable for an IFRS Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. The engagement duration is typically 6 to 12 months, based on specific project requirements, and involves flexibility to work across multiple locations in Saudi Arabia including Riyadh, Tabuk, Al Baha, Hafar Al Batin, Taif, Najran, and Al-Ahsa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily finance and accounting operations with minimal supervision.
  • Lead and execute month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with IFRS.
  • Prepare and review accruals, provisions, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Manage fixed assets and lease accounting, ensuring IFRS 16 compliance.
  • Handle revenue recognition and receivables accounting in line with IFRS 15.
  • Prepare accurate and audit-ready financial reports and working papers.
  • Ensure timely completion of financial reporting and maintain strong reporting discipline.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing complete documentation and accounting evidence.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, reconciliation issues, and reporting variances.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies, IFRS requirements, and organizational controls.
  • Operate effectively within transitional, shared-services, or evolving finance environments.
  • Coordinate with finance teams, business stakeholders, auditors, and other relevant functions.
  • Support finance transformation and operational requirements within large and complex organizations.
  • Take ownership of finance operations from day one of the engagement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 5–7 years of hands-on IFRS accounting experience.
  • Proven practical experience in IFRS implementation and finance operations.
  • Strong experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Hands-on experience with accruals and provisions, fixed assets, lease accounting (IFRS 16), revenue recognition (IFRS 15), accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Ability to independently prepare audit-ready working papers.
  • Experience working in large, complex organizations.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Strong understanding of accounting controls, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Capability to independently manage operational accounting activities from the start of the engagement.
  • Willingness and ability to work across multiple locations in Saudi Arabia as required.
