The Environment Fund (صندوق البيئة) is dedicated to achieving long-term financial and developmental objectives aligned with national economic and sustainability goals. The Fund plays a crucial role in driving impact investments and localization initiatives within Saudi Arabia, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Role Summary

The Impact Investments Vice President will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Environment Fund’s Impact Investment portfolio. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involves defining investment frameworks, managing global General Partner (GP) relationships, and ensuring alignment with national economic transformation and sustainability objectives. The Vice President will oversee the execution of impact investments, localization initiatives, and strategic partnerships to achieve the Fund's long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the general department strategy that supports the Fund's overall strategic plan by analyzing internal and external factors influencing success.
• Translate strategies into operational plans and collaborate with teams to identify initiatives supporting strategic objectives.
• Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to track progress and measure impact.
• Prepare and propose the department’s budget, identifying key financial drivers and ensuring efficient resource allocation and control of expenditures within the approved budget.
• Collaborate with other directors to align departmental budgets with the Fund’s overall financial plan.
• Develop and maintain robust governance frameworks, policies, and procedures across the Impact Investment function.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, risk-management standards, and compliance requirements, collaborating with Legal, Risk, and Treasury to refine governance mechanisms and strengthen audit readiness.
• Encourage a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement, leading transformation initiatives to modernize investment operations, digital reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Transfer knowledge across functions through structured learning sessions, workshops, and mentorship.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, implementation, and continuous refinement of the Fund’s impact investment strategy, ensuring alignment with the Fund’s vision, national economic transformation goals, and sustainability frameworks.
• Develop and maintain robust frameworks for asset allocation, portfolio diversification, and fund selection to achieve an optimal balance between financial returns, risk mitigation, and measurable social and environmental impact.
• Oversee and supervise investment execution and fund performance monitoring, ensuring that impact and financial objectives are consistently achieved and aligned with approved mandates.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of proven experience in portfolio oversight, ESG integration, and localization initiatives.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time role located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position requires extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including MEWA, the five National Centers, GPs, and various government entities.
