About the Opportunity

Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking an experienced Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) Analyst to support critical enterprise metadata management and data governance initiatives. This role is within a leading banking organization in Riyadh and is offered as an onsite contract position, initially for 6 months with an expectation of extension.

Role Purpose and Context

The successful consultant will work closely with Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Business teams. The primary objective is to implement and maintain Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (On-Premises), ensuring comprehensive enterprise-wide metadata discovery, lineage, cataloging, and governance. This position requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) On-Premises across enterprise environments.
• Perform metadata harvesting from databases, ETL tools, reporting platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Build and maintain enterprise metadata repositories and business glossaries.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end data lineage across critical banking systems.
• Support data classification, metadata management, and catalog governance activities.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Business teams to improve metadata quality and usability.
• Perform impact analysis to support system enhancements and regulatory initiatives.
• Maintain metadata standards, naming conventions, and governance documentation.
• Assist in identifying data owners, data stewards, and critical data elements across the organization.
• Troubleshoot metadata scanning, lineage, and catalog-related issues.
• Support enterprise data governance initiatives, audits, and compliance reporting.
• Provide user support, documentation, and training related to Informatica EDC capabilities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating strong expertise in Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) On-Premises. A solid understanding of metadata management, data governance principles, and data lineage development within complex enterprise environments, particularly in the banking sector, is essential. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and effective collaboration skills.

Work Arrangement and Location

This is an onsite contract position for a duration of 6 months, with the expectation of extension based on project needs and performance. The role is based in Riyadh, requiring full-time presence at the client's location.
