Life Guard (Saudi Only)

About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Life Guard to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience. The Life Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining the recreation facility according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when assisting swimmers in need.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Maintain a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Follow company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, ensuring a professional appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down ladders, stairs, and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Certifications

• High school diploma or * equivalent.
• No related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• Required: CPR Certification.
• Required: First Aid Certification.
• Required: Fitness Equipment knowledge.
• Required: Any certification or training mandated by local and state agencies.
