Manager Accounts

About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Manager Accounts to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is crucial for ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial controls across the organization.

Role Purpose

The Manager Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, reconciliation, and review of financial transactions, statements, and reports. The role supports business decision-making by providing timely and reliable financial information and drives continuous improvement in accounting processes, governance, and compliance to support organizational objectives and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial transaction processing.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and ensure adherence to reporting timelines.
• Review and approve financial reconciliations, supporting schedules, and accounting records.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and accounting analyses in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and other accounting functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues, support budgeting activities, and provide financial guidance.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders on accounting matters.
• Support internal and external audit activities by ensuring the availability and accuracy of financial documentation.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve accounting operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in accounting operations and financial reporting. A strong understanding of IFRS and internal control frameworks is required.

This role involves significant interaction with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless accounting operations and compliance.

• Internal Interactions: Finance Leadership, Accounts Payable Team, Accounts Receivable Team, Treasury Team, Procurement Team, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Business Unit Leaders.
• External Interactions: External Auditors, Regulatory Authorities, Banks and Financial Institutions, Vendors and Suppliers, Tax Advisors, Consultants.
