The Role of Merchant Onboarding & Experience Specialist

This full-time position for a Merchant Onboarding & Experience Specialist is based in Riyadh and requires 5-10 years of experience. The role involves designing and implementing category standards and onboarding processes for flash grocery, contributing to a new regional business framework in a fast-growing quick commerce market. The specialist will work across multiple functions and markets to translate business solutions into practical execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and continuously improve the category structure, product standards, and onboarding governance framework for flash grocery.
• Define category standards, product attributes, information requirements, and market-specific guidelines.
• Design standardized processes, checklists, and quality requirements covering preparation, review, setup, and launch.
• Drive pilot launches for different integration models, priority categories, and merchants, and develop scalable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with business, Product, Engineering, Data, and regional teams to drive implementation.
• Track onboarding issues, identify rework and efficiency gaps, and drive them to resolution.

Role Impact and Environment

This role offers direct ownership over the design and implementation of category standards and onboarding processes, influencing how merchants integrate onto the platform at scale. The specialist will work within Keeta, the international arm of Meituan, which is one of the fastest-growing food delivery platforms in the Middle East.
