The Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) serves as the governing body for motorsport within Saudi Arabia. Its mandate includes establishing regulations and safety standards, promoting participation, and collaborating with competitors and stakeholders to advance motorsport development across the Kingdom.

Role Summary

The Motorsport Development Director will lead SAMF's Motorsport Development department. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is responsible for establishing and nurturing the Kingdom's motorsport talent pathway, from grassroots discovery to professional-level competition. The role oversees the racing academy and development programs designed to increase participation and cultivate nationally and internationally competitive athletes. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop the talent-pathway strategy, encompassing grassroots discovery, karting, junior development, and elite progression.
• Direct the SAMF racing academy, including curriculum design, coaching standards, athlete selection, and athlete support.
• Lead the expansion of motorsport disciplines and participation across various regions and demographics.
• Direct the planning of grassroots and development infrastructure, covering programs, facility access, and equipment provision.
• Operate national driver/rider development and scholarship programs focused on international competition.
• Establish athlete-selection and progression criteria, and manage the development-program portfolio.
• Escalate decisions regarding national-team selection, international-program commitments, and major development-infrastructure investments to the Chief Sporting & Technical Officer.
• Track and report department performance against key performance indicators, including active participants, academy graduates progressing, new disciplines/regions, and participation growth.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in motorsport development or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage development programs from grassroots to professional levels.
• Experience in curriculum design, athlete selection, and performance tracking within a sporting context.

Work Environment

This role is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation.
