Power System Engineering Early Career Traineeship

GE Vernova, specifically its Electrification Software – Grid Software division, is offering a Power System Engineering Early Career Traineeship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This 12-month program is designed for early career individuals eager to develop technical and professional skills within the energy sector, contributing to projects with real-world impact.

About the Traineeship

Trainees will gain hands-on experience with digital technologies and energy management systems for electrical networks, learning directly from industry experts. The program provides mentorship opportunities and fosters collaboration with subject matter experts and engineers, offering exposure to innovative technologies that are shaping the future of energy and the Industrial Internet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power applications and related functions.
  • Analyze power application performance and identify issues to ensure reliable operation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to implement fixes, enhancements, and improvements.
  • Create and maintain databases, displays, and related configurations.
  • Tune power applications to improve performance, stability, and user experience.
  • Provide technical support, documentation, and training when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Fresh graduate or up to two years of professional experience.
  • Strong commitment to work full-time for the duration of the 12-month traineeship.
  • Legal right to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) without company sponsorship or time restriction.
  • Must be based in Saudi Arabia and willing to travel if needed.

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to register with the Saudi Engineering Council.
  • Prior internship experience in software, electrical engineering, power systems, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an excellent team player while maintaining an independent perspective.
