The Role of Procurement Officer

MEMF Electrical Industries Co. is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to managing the company's procurement processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of essential materials and products. The role involves strategic sourcing and supplier management to support MEMF's manufacturing operations and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for automation products, smart meters, and related materials.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to achieve optimal value, quality, and delivery terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and strategic partners.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and product quality.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure timely procurement and project support.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
• Ensure inventory levels are optimized to support business operations.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Experience with both local and international supplier networks.
• Strong analytical skills for market research and cost-saving identification.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
