About the Project Manager Role

Persol APAC is seeking a Project Manager to lead fit-out and furniture installation projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves comprehensive project oversight from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while serving as the primary interface with clients.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all phases of fit-out and furniture installation projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
• Coordinate with clients to understand requirements, align project specifications with their vision, and develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate Site Managers, Engineering Interface, QA/QC, HSE, and Document Control/QS functions, as well as subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain project workflow.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, JVCO management, and the project team, defining project requirements directly with clients.
• Prepare and manage the scope of work, resource requirements, cost estimates, budget, work plan schedule, milestones, and risk identification.
• Apply project documentation to standard and complex project documents, including agreements/contracts, work letters, surveys, and drawings.
• Ensure the project meets contractual, HSE, and quality obligations, including the timely receipt of subcontracted materials in line with cost and quality specifications.

Project Oversight and Commercial Management

The Project Manager holds commercial responsibility for the project, which includes managing cost plans, subcontractor relationships, and controlling site and financial aspects. This involves managing risk and variation claims while protecting the organization’s contractual position. The role also requires resolving on-site issues, ensuring factory-site coordination for on-time material and product delivery, and monitoring progress against milestones. Reporting to the Operations and Technical Director is a key aspect, with a focus on minimizing client escalations and achieving cost-to-completion within budget through efficient project execution.

Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of project management experience specifically in fit-out, joinery, or furniture installation projects.
• Experience managing projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong coordination skills across manufacturing and site teams.
• Working knowledge of furniture systems and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) delivery.
• Proficiency in project management systems and methodologies applied throughout project delivery.
• Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, essential for facilitating smooth project completion.
