Project Risk Section Head

About the Role

Hill International, Inc. is seeking a Project Risk Section Head to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading risk management activities for construction projects, ensuring compliance with established standards and contributing to project success through effective risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop risk management standards, policies, and procedures.
• Establish and manage the program risk management plan.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report risks within projects.
• Create risk reports for Project Managers.
• Review the accuracy of risk scoring and the adequacy of risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitate the completion and updating of the Project Risk Register.
• Analyze and monitor the progress of management actions by each risk owner.
• Train and educate project staff to foster continuous awareness for risk management.
• Take ownership of the Risk Database.
• Generate monthly reports for risk meetings with client representatives.
• Prepare ad-hoc risk management reports as required.
• Prepare and implement a risk management plan for construction projects, outlining processes for risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation.
• Conduct risk workshops and assessments on projects during the execution phase.
• Meet with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues across different project lifecycle phases.

Compliance and Reporting

• Inform oneself of relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures within Hill International, ensuring continued compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk management plans for construction projects.
• Experience in conducting risk workshops and assessments.
