About the Public Market Vice President Role

Awqaf Investment is seeking a Public Market Vice President to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for executing the company's public markets investment strategy. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in the field.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Public Market Vice President will be instrumental in driving Awqaf Investment Company's public markets investment strategy. This involves leading all aspects of investment origination, due diligence, portfolio construction, manager selection, performance analysis, and risk oversight. The primary objective is to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns that align with the company's long-term investment goals, governance standards, and established risk framework.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the origination, due diligence, structuring, and execution of public market investment opportunities, ensuring adherence to governance and investment policies.
• Evaluate and monitor external fund managers, Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Sukuk issuances, and other public market investments.
• Support portfolio construction, optimization initiatives, manager transitions, and exit strategies.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative performance analysis and risk monitoring to inform portfolio-level decisions.
• Develop investment theses through in-depth market, sector, and company research.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Investment, Economics, or a related field.
• 7 to 9 years of relevant experience in public markets and asset management.
• Strong investment expertise across financial markets with a demonstrated track record in investment due diligence, evaluation, and execution.
• Solid understanding of portfolio construction, manager selection, performance attribution, and investment governance frameworks.
• Professional certifications such as CFA are preferred.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
