About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This senior-level role is critical for overseeing contract compliance, conducting audits and inspections, and ensuring adherence to international standards across complex engineering projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership in quality systems, and the ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Understand the fundamental elements of Request for Proposal (RFP) and Invitation for Bid (IFB) contracts, as well as the principles, practices, standards, and procedures of quality assurance.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, preparing reports, correspondence, and technical documents.
Produce quality reports associated with work activities and audits, verifying the completion and quality of work, recording findings, and maintaining accurate logs, files, and photographic documentation.
Monitor the quality assurance aspects of contract performance in design, manufacturing, and installation activities.
Evaluate the quality assurance elements of assigned projects and assess contractor/supplier compliance with contractual specification requirements.
Evaluate the effectiveness of contractor's quality assurance program plans and recommend improvements.
Research and recommend the acceptance of submitted materials and equipment.
Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, standards, and procedures.
Review documents to ensure contract compliance, the use of proper methods, and compatibility with other systems.
Conduct and document inspections, including Release for Shipment (RFS), Installation Verification (IV), and First Article/First Article Configuration (FAI/FACI).
Attend and participate in project meetings, staying abreast of quality requirements, issues, concerns, and scheduling.
Lead and document audits and surveys of contractor/supplier quality systems, approving and verifying the implementation of necessary action plans to correct or improve quality deficiencies.
Assist in developing special quality assurance training content.
Ensure familiarity with safe work practices and procedures.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Participate in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance plans and programs.
Create standards of performance and inspection systems, and establish quality assurance testing models for the analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.
Perform quality system audits and implement necessary action plans to correct or improve quality deficiencies.
Facilitate quality awareness with internal customers by providing information and education on methods for identifying and improving quality.
Recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience performing Quality Assurance work at an advanced level, with roles and responsibilities including Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation, Design of Experiments (DOE), and automatic quality regulating systems through Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Three (3) years of full-time equivalent verifiable experience in the field of Quality Engineering.
Experience with rail transit system/subsystem equipment is preferred.
Experience preferred in Automatic Train Control, Transit Communications, Transit Vehicle Systems, Elevator and Escalators, Fare Collection, and/or Bus Maintenance contract management.
