About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Registrar Family Medicine to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive primary healthcare to individuals and families of all ages, both physically and through telemedicine. The Registrar will focus on preventive, acute, and chronic care, playing a key role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive telehealth and in-person consultations, including thorough patient history and physical examinations for general medicine complaints.
• Provide healthcare to diverse family medicine target populations across all ages and genders.
• Deliver chronic disease and preventive care consultations and follow-ups in accordance with clinical guidelines.
• Utilize video conferencing platforms for virtual assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing patient education.
• Oversee ongoing care for chronic and acute conditions, adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, specialists, and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
• Practice population health management by identifying and addressing community health issues, implementing preventive measures, and promoting health education.
• Document findings and treatment plans meticulously in patient records.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Adhere to all relevant medical regulations, ethical guidelines, and quality assurance standards for both telehealth and in-person practice.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telehealth regulations and best practices, participating in quality improvement initiatives and accurately documenting patient encounters.
• Regularly review compliance protocols, participate in training sessions, and collaborate with compliance officers to meet regulatory standards.
• Prepare accurate and complete reports for audits and inspections, staying updated on changes in healthcare regulations.

Professional Development and Platform Proficiency

• Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills in family medicine, including in-person and telehealth best practices.
• Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and online courses to stay abreast of advancements in family medicine and telehealth technology.
• Maintain proficiency in utilizing designated telehealth platforms, including video conferencing, secure messaging, and electronic health records (EHR) integration.
• Actively participate in training programs, stay updated on platform enhancements, and collaborate with IT support for technical issues.

Patient Safety and Satisfaction

• Maintain compliance with all patient safety standards across clinical interactions and report any safety risks to the quality department.
• Practice safe medicine to prevent patient harm, explaining medication side effects and proper use.
• Ensure satisfactory patient consultations through effective communication, complete history taking, empathy, clear explanation of diagnosis and management plans, and addressing patient queries.
• Monitor patient feedback, address concerns promptly, and implement safety protocols to minimize risks during consultations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to provide patient-centered care and optimize health outcomes through efficient and effective healthcare delivery via specific care programs and clinical pathways.
• Strong understanding of population health management and value-based care principles.
