About the Risk Lead Role at Foodics

Foodics, a leading restaurant management ecosystem and payment tech provider, is seeking a Risk Lead to join its team in Riyadh. Founded in 2014, Foodics operates across five countries and serves customers in over 35 countries worldwide. The company has processed over 6 billion orders and is recognized as one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in the MENA region, supported by significant funding to enhance its innovation capabilities. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in risk management.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Risk Lead will be instrumental in developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework for Foodics. The primary objective is to ensure that all risk exposures are effectively mitigated, managed within the company's accepted risk appetite, and continuously monitored. This role will implement best practices in risk management, utilizing suitable measurements to comply with regulatory requirements and satisfy company shareholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s risk management strategy in collaboration with various functions.
• Establish and evolve the Risk Management framework, including policies, risk appetite, and associated limits.
• Create and refine risk management procedures to support operational and financial objectives.
• Design and deploy appropriate Risk Management methodologies, tools, and techniques across all company activities, encompassing operational, credit, financial, reputational, and cybersecurity risks.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyses across different functions and for new products.
• Perform risk assessments for strategic projects, policies, procedures, agreements, and system implementation initiatives.
• Implement a continuous risk management monitoring system, including the development of early warning and key risk indicators.
• Maintain a comprehensive risk register detailing all internal and external risks.
• Establish mechanisms for reporting and analyzing operational risk incidents and associated losses.
• Develop and promote risk management awareness and foster a strong risk management culture throughout the organization.
• Ensure the implementation of appropriate risk transfer techniques, such as insurance, aligned with the company’s Risk Management strategy.
• Collaborate with all functional heads to establish, maintain, and enhance risk management capabilities.
• Implement risk reporting aligned with local and international regulatory requirements and board oversight needs.
• Enhance and integrate business continuity plans into business lines and critical functions, assisting support functions in understanding operational risk impacts.
• Effectively manage risks in coordination with technology and cybersecurity teams.
• Stay updated on advancements in risk management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
• Manage assigned ad hoc tasks for regulatory bodies, committees, and senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management, with a preference for experience within the financial industry.
• A Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in risk assessment, control, and analysis principles.
• Familiarity with SAMA compliance standards and regulations.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills.
• Solid command of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) and G-Suite.
• A strong team player with a positive professional attitude.
