Role Overview

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Specialist III to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves moderately complex technical work across various environmental, safety, and health disciplines. The specialist will ensure compliance with ES&H standards and relevant regulatory requirements, contributing to a secure and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain current knowledge of specific government agency requirements related to ES&H.
  • Apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures within the environmental specialty.
  • Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions for ES&H challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.
  • Monitor and prevent hazards and diseases within the work area.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning workplace hazards.
  • Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazards.
  • Develop and conduct employee training and emergency preparedness programs, ensuring program quality.
  • Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice on ES&H matters.
  • Potentially act as a lead for a team of ES&H specialists or support personnel.
  • Potentially administer an ES&H program on small to medium-sized projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental, safety, and health disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in applying ES&H standards and federal/state regulatory requirements.
