About the Role

Guardian Jobs is seeking a highly experienced Science Tutor for a full-time, residential position in Riyadh. This role involves delivering one-to-one tuition to a student at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels. The position is with an ultra-high-net-worth family and requires a UK-trained Science Teacher with a strong background in leading UK or British international schools and experience with Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel curricula. The role may involve occasional domestic and international travel based on the family's schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality one-to-one Science tuition across KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is advantageous.
• Teach English up to Key Stage 3, or demonstrate the ability to do so.
• Develop engaging, age-appropriate lesson materials aligned with Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel curricula.
• Utilize creative, hands-on, and experiential learning strategies to enhance student engagement.
• Track student progress through formative and summative assessments.
• Provide detailed academic feedback and outline clear development strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, achievements, and learning goals.
• Foster critical thinking, independence, resilience, and a growth mindset in students.
• Identify and support any additional academic or learning needs of the student.

Candidate Profile

• A specialism in Science or Secondary Education is essential.
• Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4, ideally KS5, in UK or British international schools.
• Strong experience in delivering differentiated and personalized learning.
• Familiarity with UK and international curricula; Pearson Edexcel is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with students and parents.
• A confident, organized, and adaptable teaching approach.
• A high level of professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to travel independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related subject is required.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of full-time post-qualification teaching experience.
• Experience teaching the Pearson Edexcel curriculum in a UK or international setting.

Remuneration and Benefits

The position offers a tax-free salary of approximately £4,700 per month. Benefits include single, compound-based accommodation, transportation, comprehensive medical insurance, return flights, and work visa sponsorship. The contract is for one year and is renewable.

Work Context

This is a full-time, residential tutoring role based in Riyadh. The tuition will be delivered face-to-face within the family residence. An ASAP start date is anticipated.
