The Opportunity

Code Ninja is seeking a Senior Appian Developer – Process & Workflow to join their team. This full-time, onsite role in Riyadh involves designing and building complex process models, case management flows, and business rules for Appian applications within a leading bank in Saudi Arabia. The focus of this role will be on ensuring performance, maintainability, and auditability of the developed solutions. This position is open to all nationalities and requires over 10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complex process models, including subprocesses, parallel flows, escalations, timers, exception handling, and multi-level approvals.
• Implement case management solutions for banking operations such as account opening, credit approvals, disputes, KYC refresh, and complaints.
• Model business rules and decisions utilizing expression rules and decision tables.
• Design task routing, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), delegation, and maker-checker controls in alignment with segregation-of-duties policies.
• Optimize process performance, focusing on memory usage, process archiving, node counts, activity chaining, and smart-service selections.
• Implement audit trails and process history to meet compliance and internal audit requirements.
• Write rule test cases and provide support for Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) defect resolution.
• Review peer process designs and mentor mid-level developers.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Over 10 years of hands-on Appian experience, specifically within a banking or financial services environment.
• Expertise in Appian process modeling, process variables, smart services, and process reports.
• Strong skills in expression rule, query, and CDT/record type design.
• Experience with Appian Process HQ, process mining, or workflow analytics.
• Solid SQL skills and an understanding of transaction and concurrency handling.
• Understanding of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and banking operational workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Appian Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
• Familiarity with document generation and e-signature integrations.
• Experience in migrating legacy workflows to Appian.
