The Role of Senior Associate, Investment Operations

Sukna Capital is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Associate, Investment Operations to join its growing team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing day-to-day operations across the firm's multi-asset platform, which includes venture capital, private debt, private equity, and real estate, and spans fund structures in several countries. The Senior Associate will collaborate with investment, accounting, and compliance teams, as well as external service providers, to ensure operational efficiency, control, and excellence across various functions. The scope of this role is expected to evolve as the platform expands with new funds and asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process borrower drawdown requests, profit and principal payments, and maintain the loan tape for loan servicing.
  • Conduct covenant assessment and monitor reporting triggers, collateral, and security.
  • Support due diligence and closing of venture capital investments, coordinating with investment, legal, and compliance teams.
  • Manage transaction documentation, signatures, and closing mechanics through to completion.
  • Calculate the fair value of fund assets across asset classes, performing certain valuations in-house and coordinating others with outsourced administrators and valuers.
  • Produce portfolio and investor-level calculations, providing supporting evidence for the accounting team to prepare the NAV pack.
  • Review administrator-prepared valuations and deliverables for accuracy prior to release.
  • Process investor transactions, including subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, and redemptions, and maintain investor records and capital accounts.
  • Manage investor onboarding and prepare periodic and ad-hoc investor reports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for investor queries and maintain the investor data room.
  • Administer fund and SPV entities across Saudi Arabia and other jurisdictions, working with counsel and registered agents.
  • Maintain regulatory filings, statutory records, and FATCA/CRS obligations across jurisdictions.
  • Maintain operational controls, reconciliations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity and records across operational systems, and drive process improvements across funds.
  • Work closely with the investment, accounting, legal, and compliance teams, and coordinate operations across funds.
  • Manage external service providers, including administrators, custodians, auditors, and registered agents, and support regulatory filings.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in investment operations or a related field.
