About the Role

AIQU is seeking a Senior C++/Linux Software Engineer for a contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is focused on highly technical systems engineering, involving complex, performance-critical software development within a secure, offline environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software engineering principles and a passion for tackling challenging low-level programming problems.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior C++/Linux Software Engineer will be responsible for:

Designing and developing high-performance software solutions using Modern C++.
Building and maintaining software on Linux platforms, with a preference for Red Hat.
Working on mission-critical systems where performance and sensitivity are paramount.
Contributing to software architecture, system optimization, and ensuring software reliability.
Actively participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
Developing software within secure, air-gapped environments.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following essential requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience with Modern C++.
Extensive experience working with Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Proven experience in developing complex software systems.
A solid understanding of core software engineering concepts, including:

Object-Oriented Design
Design Patterns
Memory Management
Multithreading & Concurrency
Standard Template Library (STL)
Performance Optimization techniques
Software Architecture principles

The ability to work effectively and productively within an offline development environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Work Environment and Type

This is a contract role located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The work will be conducted in a secure, offline environment, requiring engineers to adapt to specific development constraints and protocols.
