About the Role

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Control professional to join its Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This full-time position is within the Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in civil engineering and transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Cost Control professional will be responsible for managing all cost control activities. This includes developing accurate cost estimates, monitoring project expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings to ensure project completion within budgetary and financial objectives. The role involves preparing and presenting comprehensive cost estimate reports, budget forecasts, and change proposal analyses to management and clients. Additionally, the position requires overseeing the application and payment process for adherence to contracts, coordinating with project managers and other discipline managers to control project costs, and providing guidance to clients on cost control matters. Managing client expectations and ensuring satisfaction, along with adherence to Quality Control processes, are also key aspects of this role.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or Quantity Surveying, or equivalent work experience. Formal qualifications or affiliations with RICS, IQS, or CIOB are required. A minimum of over 12 years of experience in project and construction management, primarily as a consultant on mega construction projects, is essential. Candidates with exclusive contractor experience will not be considered. Experience in at least one ROAD project is mandatory; candidates without clear road experience will not be considered. A strong understanding of construction, design, and engineering principles, as well as local building codes, regulations, and safety standards, is necessary. Proficiency in English is required, with Arabic being a plus.

Required Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and report writing skills, along with strong social skills, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor. A willingness to work within a multinational firm is also expected.

Additional Requirements
