About Almasar Minerals and the Role

Almasar Minerals is an emerging exploration company focused on new greenfield mineral discoveries within the Arabian-Nubian Shield. The company is progressing towards a listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and holds a portfolio of exploration projects across Saudi Arabia, actively seeking additional licenses for gold and base metal opportunities. This is a full-time, on-site position for a Senior Exploration Geologist, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with regular fieldwork required across project areas.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Senior Exploration Geologist will be responsible for planning and executing exploration programs. Key duties include overseeing geological mapping, logging, drilling, and core logging activities, ensuring data quality and consistency. This role involves interpreting geological, geochemical, and drilling data to generate and refine exploration targets, contributing to resource evaluation, and supporting project decision-making. The position also requires mentoring junior geologists and field teams, coordinating with external contractors, and preparing technical reports, maps, and presentations for internal stakeholders and investors. Adherence to safety standards and Almasar Minerals’ exploration framework is essential.

Technical Approach and Strategy

Almasar Minerals employs a strong technical approach to exploration, combining in-house expertise with guidance from a world-class advisory board. This board includes former chief geophysicists and geochemists from major global mining companies, as well as the academic who first classified orogenic gold deposits. This strategic foundation supports the company's objective of making significant mineral discoveries.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology; an advanced degree is considered an advantage.
• A minimum of 8 years of exploration experience, though exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
• A strong background in gold and base metal exploration, with specific experience in orogenic and intrusion-related gold systems.
• Experience working within Precambrian terranes; experience in the Arabian-Nubian Shield is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to independently manage exploration programs and operate in remote field environments.
• Strong geological mapping and target generation skills.
• Experience supervising drilling programs and junior geologists.

Technical Skills and Language Proficiency

Proficiency in the following technical areas is required:

• Proficiency with QGIS and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Micromine and Leapfrog is considered advantageous.
• Fluency in English is mandatory. Arabic language skills are beneficial but not required.
