About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with a specialization in Disputes to join its legal team. This full-time position, based in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia, is crucial for managing and resolving complex legal disputes across the company's diverse business sectors. The role requires a seasoned legal professional with over 10 years of experience to safeguard the company’s interests through expert guidance on dispute resolution strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management and resolution of legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Develop and implement effective dispute resolution strategies to minimize risks and financial exposure.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to coordinate case management and ensure timely, cost-effective dispute resolution.
• Provide expert legal advice on potential and ongoing disputes to senior management and relevant departments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate settlement agreements and related legal documentation.
• Monitor legal developments and trends in dispute resolution to inform company strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior legal team members within the disputes practice area.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.

Qualifications and Experience

• A law degree and qualification to practice law.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience focused on dispute resolution, litigation, or arbitration. Experience within an in-house legal department or a law firm is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Proficiency in case management.
• Proven ability to develop and execute effective dispute resolution strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Leadership experience, with the capacity to mentor and develop junior lawyers.
• Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
