About FlyAkeed and the Role

FlyAkeed is an online platform established in 2017, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, dedicated to simplifying flight and hotel bookings, particularly for work-related travel. The company is currently in its Series A funding stage, supported by Sanabil Investments (a PIF subsidiary), Elm, Artal Capital, and Alrajhi Partners. We are seeking a Senior PMO & Business Transformation professional to join our team in Riyadh on a full-time basis, requiring over 10 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose and Strategic Impact

This role serves as a senior strategic partner to the CEO, responsible for translating the organizational vision into structured, measurable execution across the business. The Senior PMO & Business Transformation professional holds the CEO's mandate to drive cross-functional alignment and ensure the organization adheres to its strategic commitments. This position operates at the intersection of strategy and delivery, coordinating initiatives effectively and ensuring critical work is prioritized and completed. The scope is enterprise-wide, encompassing project and program management, agile delivery governance, business transformation, AI-enabled process improvement, and strategic initiatives as directed by the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational partner to the CEO, translating strategic priorities into clear plans, owners, and timelines.
• Establish and lead the FlyAkeed PMO function, including standards, frameworks, and governance practices.
• Maintain a portfolio view of all initiatives, identifying interdependencies, risks, and resourcing conflicts.
• Own the FlyAkeed Agile Playbook, overseeing Scrum Masters and monitoring sprint health and delivery performance.
• Lead process improvement initiatives across technology, product, operations, customer success, HR, and finance.
• Lead the adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows within PMO and operational functions.
• Maintain oversight of quality practices across squads, including defect management and release readiness.
• Own Jira configuration, workflow design, and integrations with tools such as Slack, GitHub, and Notion.
• Directly manage and develop Scrum Masters and the PMO Coordinator.

Required Experience and Leadership

• Significant experience (10+ years) in senior PMO leadership, project management, or operational leadership across multiple functions.
• Demonstrated success leading business transformation, agile adoption, or operational improvement in technology companies.
• Experience as a strategic partner to executives with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Proven experience managing and developing delivery practitioners and project coordinators.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Strong Jira configuration and administration experience across multiple project types.
• Familiarity with using AI tools as applied to project management and workflow improvement.
• Ability to work effectively across culturally diverse and geographically distributed teams.
• Prior consulting or advisory experience is considered an advantage.
