About DeepSource and the Role

DeepSource is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time position is exclusively open to Saudi nationals and focuses on securing the company's cloud environments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining robust security measures within the cloud infrastructure, ensuring adherence to both local and international regulations.

Focus of the Position

The Senior Security Engineer will primarily focus on enhancing the security posture of DeepSource's cloud infrastructure, particularly within AWS and Azure environments. This involves designing secure architectures, managing access controls, and proactively responding to security threats to safeguard critical assets and data. The role requires a commitment to continuous improvement in security operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures and frameworks for cloud solutions, specifically in AWS and Azure environments.
• Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles, policies, and permissions to enforce strong access controls and governance.
• Monitor cloud environments for security events, respond to incidents, perform vulnerability assessments, and remediate issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, regulations, and standards relevant to cloud security, such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Develop automation scripts to enhance security operations and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate closely with development, operations, and compliance teams to integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Experience level of 0-1 years in a relevant security engineering role.
• Demonstrated focus on securing cloud environments.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing security architectures for cloud solutions, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with IAM configuration and management.
• Understanding of threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability assessment processes.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance standards (*, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Experience with automation scripting and IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
