This full-time position for a Senior Specialist, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence II, based in Riyadh, offers an opportunity to contribute to Ma'aden's strategic growth and the evolution of the mining sector within the Kingdom.

Purpose of the Position

The primary purpose of this role is to design, develop, and deploy machine learning and Generative AI solutions. The specialist will focus on solving defined business problems while ensuring the technical robustness, optimal model performance, and responsible implementation of AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and validate machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI models, including those based on Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Implement prompt engineering strategies and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Perform feature engineering, model tuning, and performance optimization for AI solutions.
• Prepare, cleanse, and transform both structured and unstructured datasets for model training.
• Support the deployment of ML and Generative AI models utilizing MLOps and LLMOps practices.
• Conduct structured evaluations of LLM outputs, including hallucination detection and quality scoring.
• Integrate AI solutions into enterprise systems via APIs.
• Document model design, underlying assumptions, potential risks, and validation results comprehensively.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, cybersecurity protocols, and ethical AI guidelines.
• Support the ongoing monitoring, retraining, and lifecycle management of deployed models.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this Senior Specialist role should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence. This experience should include practical application in developing and deploying AI solutions.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
