About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a professional with a proven track record in site supervision within the construction consultancy sector, specifically on roads and highways projects. The successful candidate will lead and oversee the structural design, analysis, and construction supervision of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring their integrity, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks across project lifecycles, from initial design to construction oversight and stakeholder engagement. Your duties will include:

• Leading the structural design and analysis of transportation infrastructure projects.
• Providing technical oversight and guidance during the construction phase of structural projects.
• Identifying opportunities for value engineering and innovation to optimize designs and construction.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating structural risks associated with construction activities.
• Engaging with clients, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and communities.

Structural Design and Analysis

This role involves leading the structural design and analysis for various transportation infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels, viaducts, and retaining walls. Work must adhere to client requirements, international standards, and industry best practices. Responsibilities also include conducting structural assessments, load calculations, and finite element analyses to evaluate structural performance, durability, and resilience under diverse loading conditions.

Construction Supervision and Quality Assurance

The Senior Structural Engineer will provide essential technical oversight and guidance throughout the construction phase. This includes conducting regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications and contractual requirements.
