About the Role

AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) is seeking a Solutions Architect to work with Enterprise and Strategic customers in central Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires over 10 years of experience. The role is central to AWS's growth strategy in the Kingdom, supporting digital transformation initiatives driven by Vision 2030 across various sectors.

Role Overview

The Solutions Architect serves as a key technical advisor for a portfolio of enterprise customers. This involves assisting them in modernizing legacy platforms, adopting AI and cloud-native architectures, and accelerating their digital agendas. Solutions Architects engage with customers to understand business drivers, assess application portfolios, and design reliable, cost-effective cloud-native architectures. The role requires strategic thinking about business, products, and technical challenges, operating at the intersection of technology and business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support long-term customer success, satisfaction, and trust through the adoption of AWS services and well-architected solutions, in partnership with Account Managers and Business Development.
• Act as a technical advisor for enterprise customers in the Riyadh and central Saudi Arabia region, building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to their technology strategy.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful cloud deployment, including competitive migration paths.
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many enablement sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community; contribute to customer-facing publications such as white papers, blog posts, and reference architectures.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS Service Teams, and Support, gathering product feedback, driving feature requests, and collaborating with fellow Solutions Architects.

Required Qualifications

• Over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Broad competence across multiple technology areas, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, and data analytics.
• Demonstrated depth in at least one to two of the aforementioned technology areas.
• Ability to connect technology solutions with measurable business value for customer success.
• Experience interacting with various customer stakeholders, including Directors, Architects, Developers, and Engineers.

A Day in the Life

A typical day involves reviewing architecture proposals for enterprise customers, participating in technical sessions with engineering teams to design application platforms, and advising on the appropriate mix of compute, AI/ML, and data services. Collaboration with Account Managers and account teams on strategy calls, contributing to technical win plans, and identifying specialist resources are also key activities. The role includes supporting workshops or Immersion Days for developers at customer sites, focusing on topics such as Amazon Bedrock, GenAI application patterns, or container modernization with EKS. Between meetings, tasks may include capturing product feedback, contributing to blog posts, or reviewing architectures with teammates. Internal syncs with the broader KSA SA team, knowledge-sharing sessions, and event preparation are also part of the weekly routine.
