Role Overview: Sr. Architect, Software Solutions

alfanar is seeking a Sr. Architect, Software Solutions to join its team in Riyadh. This position is responsible for designing and delivering integrated industrial automation and enterprise software solutions. The role focuses on bridging operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure digital architectures that meet customer requirements and enhance operational efficiency, asset performance, and business outcomes across utilities, energy, water, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer business and technical requirements to design end-to-end automation and digital architectures, integrating OT and IT systems.
• Develop solution blueprints, system architectures, functional specifications, and technical documentation, defining cybersecurity, networking, cloud, and on-premises deployment architectures.
• Configure, customize, and deploy software applications, developing use cases, workflows, dashboards, reports, and business processes.
• Perform software testing, validation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate various enterprise software platforms including SCADA, DMS/ADMS, EMS, APM, EAM, GIS, IoT, ERP, CMMS, cloud, and analytics platforms.
• Conduct workshops, demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (POCs), and technical presentations, supporting proposal preparation and bid responses.
• Design solutions for predictive maintenance, AI, machine learning, analytics, and digital twin applications.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), deployment, training, and customer acceptance activities.

Leadership and Operational Accountabilities

• Demonstrate HR proficiency by recruiting, recognizing, and cultivating high performers, and guiding low performers for improvement or release, ensuring fair treatment and performance-based assessment.
• Take full responsibility for operations and deliverables, anticipating problems, taking proactive steps, and making timely decisions in line with company guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• 6 to 10 years of professional work experience.
