About the Role

alfanar is seeking a SR.CONSULTANT, SAP MDG to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring an effective Master Data Governance (MDG) product that supports alfanar’s global data strategy.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Senior Consultant will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality, compliant, and well-integrated master data across various systems. This ensures consistent, secure, and reliable data for all enterprise operations, aligning with the company's strategic objectives and global data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the product roadmap for enterprise data governance tools, including Pilog and SAP MDG, ensuring alignment with global data strategy and business objectives.
• Own the end-to-end MDG product lifecycle, implementing governance rules, workflows, validations, and controls based on business owner decisions.
• Oversee integration with SAP S/4HANA, Data Dictionary, APIs, data services, and legacy systems to ensure compatibility across the alfanar ecosystem.
• Recommend and implement data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment initiatives upon business owner approval, partnering with data stewards to maintain high-quality master data and qualify the dictionary.
• Define global data migration strategy, mapping rules, and transformation logic, overseeing cutover and mock tests for global rollouts.
• Act as a liaison between business, IT, and data teams, collecting requirements, managing and executing backlog, and prioritizing features.
• Ensure adherence to GDPR, SOX, internal policies, and data governance frameworks such as ISO/DAMA.
• Manage the MDG product lifecycle, delivering features, enhancements, and integrations on time, and driving continuous improvements and innovation.

• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.
• Comply with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in SAP Master Data Governance or similar enterprise data governance roles. A strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, data integration, data quality management, and global data migration strategies is essential. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards like GDPR and SOX, as well as data governance frameworks such as ISO/DAMA, is also required.
