About the Role

alfanar, a company operating construction and manufacturing businesses, design and development centers, and various facilities across the Middle East and other regions, is seeking a Sr. Tendering Engineer - Protection. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires over 10 years of experience.

Role Purpose

The Sr. Tendering Engineer - Protection will lead the preparation of complex technical and commercial proposals. This involves reviewing client requirements, developing optimized designs, and ensuring cost-effective solutions. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, validation of technical documents, and providing customer support throughout pre-sales and project execution phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs and technical specifications to define design requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) by analyzing drawings, materials, and labor needs.
• Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and adherence to customer specifications.
• Develop and review technical documentation, including design calculations, schematics, and proposals.
• Validate the accuracy and feasibility of proposed design solutions prior to submission.
• Ensure all proposals meet established quality standards and project requirements.
• Communicate with clients and consultants to obtain technical clarifications during the proposal stage.
• Provide technical support during negotiations to facilitate approvals and project acceptance.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to align proposal requirements with operational capabilities.
• Support modifications and variations during project execution by preparing revised designs or cost estimates.
• Recommend improvements for proposal templates, costing methodologies, and design workflows.
• Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends to enhance proposal competitiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10-15 years of relevant work experience.

The role involves working within alfanar's operations, which include electrical, electromechanical, and civil engineering construction, as well as manufacturing and marketing of electrical construction products and allied engineering services.
