About the Role

Tahaluf is seeking a Startup Program Manager to join its Investor & Startup Programs team in Riyadh. This full-time role, offered on a contractor basis, involves independently managing startup programs across multiple concurrent events. Each event features distinct audiences, content themes, and commercial structures, requiring the ability to navigate various sector contexts and manage parallel workstreams. The position is both a hands-on delivery role and a strategy role, demanding a strong execution mindset with close attention to quality and detail.

Key Responsibilities: Program Curation and Management

• Manage the startup program team and oversee startup program features and targets.
• Lead the creation of startup pipelines for all assigned events, from form setup and outreach to final selection.
• Review inbound applications against event-specific criteria and coordinate with startup and competition teams.
• Drive proactive outreach to relevant startup communities, accelerators, and partner networks to maximize application quality and volume.
• Tailor the curation approach per event, support marketing efforts, and develop ideas for social promotion.
• Own the startup onboarding process, ensuring selected startups receive timely and accurate information, documentation, and logistical guidance.
• Oversee pre-event training sessions, matchmaking briefings, and sector-specific preparation tailored to each event's audience.
• Build and maintain startup communication sequences and onboarding materials for each event.
• Coordinate startup zone allocations and pre-event logistics with Operations and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities: On-Ground Delivery and Reporting

• Be present on-site for events, managing startup zone operations including matchmaking concierge support and startup-facing troubleshooting.
• Coordinate any onsite startup-related special programs.
• Liaise in real-time with Operations, Production, and program leads on any on-ground issues.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date startup records across internal management tools throughout the program lifecycle for each event.
• Collect and analyze post-event feedback from startups, including NPS, meeting quality, and investment interest generated.
• Contribute event-specific startup data to the broader program impact report.
• Conduct post-event reviews and share learnings and improvement recommendations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree level education or equivalent.
• Significant experience (2-5 years) in a Project Management role supporting mid-to-large scale trade exhibitions, conferences, sports events, or FMCG launches and events.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables at different stages of the project life cycle.
• Exposure to evaluating and managing inter-departmental processes and milestones.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office/Office 365 suite of software, Smart Sheets, and Airtable.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Arabic, capable of clear communication with individuals and groups.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills, coupled with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and adept at risk management and mitigation planning.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time contractor position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Investor & Startup Programs team at Tahaluf. The role requires on-site presence during events and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality startup experiences.
