Role Overview: Strategy & Planning Lead

This full-time, onsite Strategy & Planning Lead position is based in Riyadh. The role involves defining, managing, and evaluating business plans to ensure operational executability against strategic objectives. It requires leading and partnering with cross-functional teams to develop short-term business plans and supporting data-driven models. The Strategy & Planning Lead will prepare comprehensive implementation tactics, including execution plans, resource allocation, follow-up guidelines, assessment, and process accountabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop recommendations from complex data and business analyses, formulating them into actionable business plans.
• Drive the construction of highly innovative statistical and financial models to analyze new aspects of business performance.
• Establish metrics to measure business performance and recommend strategies to address performance gaps.
• Lead complex, time-sensitive market research projects and identify compelling trends and opportunities for business leaders.
• Staff and manage cross-functional teams across all business planning activities.
• Drive all aspects of priority projects and make final team decisions.
• Develop business plans and proactively identify new opportunities in partnership with client business leaders.
• Develop and drive comprehensive business plan recommendations based on analysis, emerging trends, and experience.
• Identify or develop cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for key business decisions.
• Counsel business leaders, recommend approaches for executing high-level strategies, and develop creative solutions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess over 10 years of relevant experience. The position requires unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge, including technologies, theories, and techniques. The individual will contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas, successfully operate in complex disciplines, and provide highly innovative solutions. This role leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives.

Leadership and Strategic Impact

The Strategy & Planning Lead may participate in cross-division, multi-function teams and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees. This role routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives, develops strategy, and sets functional policy and direction. The individual acts as a functional manager within their area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function. Responsibilities include ensuring business activities are aligned with stated plans among different stakeholders, setting business metrics, evaluating actual performance, and making recommendations to business leaders on performance target achievement. The role also develops data-driven analyses to optimize resources and ensure business plans translate into financial value.
