SUPERVISOR SOCIAL WORK

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Supervisor, Social Work. This full-time position involves overseeing the operational activities and programs within the Social Work Department to ensure they effectively meet the needs of patients, the patient care team, and other relevant parties. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide input to the Department Head regarding the performance of Social Workers.
• Manage the charity fund as assigned, disbursing financial assistance to eligible patients and preparing disbursement reports.
• Design orientation programs and competency checklists for new Social Workers, supervising their performance and progress.
• Oversee Social Worker Intern activities in coordination with the concerned University Supervisor.
• Maintain information on Hospital policies and procedures, ensuring Social Workers are aware of these and any changes.
• Revise, develop, recommend, and implement new or existing departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure effective communication with the patient care team, other staff, and Social Workers to promote awareness of departmental services and programs.
• Recommend actions for corrections and improvements of departmental activities.
• Review approved caseload studies, case plans, and referrals to outside resources.
• Review Social Workers' caseloads, ensuring adequate documentation and follow-up recording in patient social files and the ICIS.
• Supervise the daily operation of the morgue as assigned, ensuring staff adherence to CBAHI standards and KFSH&RC policies and procedures.
• Supervise the daily operation of the patient Hospitality building and submit monthly statistics to the Department Head.
• Provide information to Social Workers regarding the availability of community-based support organizations and encourage their utilization.
• Supervise the performance of the recreational therapist, ensuring adequate coverage in the playroom, quality recreational activities, and the availability of recreational and educational items and materials.

Operational Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of Social Workers.
• Establish schedules and assign work.
• Adjust work assignments to meet changing requirements and conditions.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in social work or a related supervisory capacity.
