Sama Construction & Contracting is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to our operations, focusing on large-scale infrastructure and mass earthworks projects within the region.

Role Overview

The Surveyor will lead field survey operations, spatial data collection, and layout controls. This position involves critical responsibilities such as setting out project boundaries, executing topographical surveys, and monitoring mass excavation and filling levels. The successful candidate will also be responsible for calculating accurate earthwork volumes, working in close coordination with site engineers and technical office teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographical surveys, establish control points, and verify site boundaries for site preparation and mass earthworks.
• Set out grid lines, levels, and slopes for excavation, backfilling, compaction, and grading operations.
• Perform regular progress survey measurements to generate volume calculations (cut and fill) and updated surface models.
• Operate and maintain high-precision surveying equipment, including GPS/GNSS, Total Stations, and Digital Levels.
• Prepare survey reports, cross-sections, and spatial data submittals for consultant approvals and client verification.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a Surveyor.
• Professional accreditation: Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) or an equivalent professional body is preferred.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of soil profile measurement techniques.
• Proficiency in volume calculation techniques.
• Thorough understanding and adherence to site safety protocols.
