About the Tamheer Localization Intern Role

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Tamheer Localization Intern to join a team supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. This internship offers the opportunity to learn how a leading global defense company contributes to national development through industrial participation programs. The role involves supporting colleagues in developing localization projects that transfer knowledge and capability to Saudi Arabia.

Role Context and Learning Opportunities

The intern will gain practical experience in understanding the Saudi defense supply chain and its role in delivering Vision 2030 localization projects. This includes learning about processes for assessing existing capabilities and identifying opportunities for introducing new technologies into the Kingdom. The role also provides insight into Lockheed Martin's supplier contracting and qualification standards, adhering to high quality and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Exposure

The intern will be exposed to the end-to-end process of fulfilling the General Authority for Military Industry Industrial Participation Policy. Responsibilities include participating in supplier visits for initial assessments, attending customer, supplier, and partner meetings, and gaining an understanding of how Lockheed Martin meets its localization obligations across various business areas. This role is part of a team focused on delivering defense technologies to Saudi Arabia in support of Vision 2030.

Business Environment and Support Functions

This internship is within Lockheed Martin's International Corporate and Enterprise Business Services (EBS) units. These units encompass functions such as Business Development, IT Services, Payroll, ESH, HR, and Finance, providing support across the EMEA region. The Corporate and EBS teams offer region-wide support to all Lockheed Martin International business areas, with employees located throughout the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
