About the Technical Support Engineer Role

alfanar Electric is seeking a Technical Support Engineer with expertise in SAS to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on providing essential technical assistance to both customers and internal teams. The role is critical in ensuring the proper functionality of systems, supporting product commissioning, and resolving technical issues.

Core Responsibilities

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for a range of technical duties aimed at maintaining system integrity and customer satisfaction. This includes acting as a key technical liaison to resolve warranty claims, support project execution, and ensure accurate technical documentation. The role involves troubleshooting issues, supporting product commissioning, and verifying system functionality.

Key Functional Duties

• Warranty Claims Support: Diagnose technical issues related to warranty claims and propose solutions under senior engineer guidance. Facilitate communication for timely claim resolution.
• Field Commissioning Assistance: Support installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems during field commissioning. Ensure systems meet project specifications and document resolution of commissioning issues.
• Project Engineering Support: Assist project teams with technical tasks, problem-solving, and engineering service delivery. Aid in the preparation of accurate technical documentation.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain organized records of engineering activities, including test results, warranty resolutions, and commissioning logs. Support the preparation and review of technical reports.
• Learning and Development: Engage in continuous learning through mentorship and training. Contribute to workflow improvements under supervision.

General Operational Duties

This role also encompasses general responsibilities focused on operational efficiency and compliance. The engineer is expected to maintain and develop relevant soft and technical skills. Planned activities must be performed to meet operational and development targets within efficient cost and time parameters, with periodic reporting on task execution and deviations. Problem-solving is a key aspect, with escalation of complex issues as needed. Ensuring quality requirements and compliance with policies, procedures, and work instructions are also integral to the role. Adherence to health, safety, and environmental management procedures is mandatory within the defined work area.
