The Role: Traffic Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Traffic Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is dedicated to a significant road project in the region, focusing on ensuring efficient and safe traffic flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review traffic engineering designs, traffic management plans, and temporary traffic control schemes for highway and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct traffic impact studies, traffic modeling, capacity analysis, and junction performance assessments.
• Design and coordinate road signing, pavement markings, wayfinding systems, road safety devices, and traffic control measures.
• Prepare and review traffic diversions, detour plans, work zone traffic management plans, and construction staging proposals.
• Coordinate with road, geometric, civil, structural, and transportation disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Review traffic forecasts and implement transportation planning solutions in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, client requirements, and international traffic engineering standards.
• Participate in road safety audits (RSA), hazard identification studies, and value engineering workshops.
• Support approvals and coordination processes with relevant governmental authorities and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during construction activities and monitor compliance with approved traffic management plans.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation for clients and project management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience as a Traffic Engineer. The role requires a strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, design software, and regulatory compliance for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Location and Employment Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will contribute to a key road infrastructure project within the region.
